HOUSE OF RETREAT

Situated near the colonial-era Keppel Hill Reservoir which was rediscovered in 2014, this abandoned property was a colonial era residence that has for many years been secluded from development by nature and is now a landmark for trekkers rediscovering the ‘lost’ Keppel Hill area. Hence, this project aims to work on the idea of adaptive reuse, evolving to suit the new norm. The new function will bring value to the chosen space, considering its history and location in the urban context.

Project Assignment using Revit
For this project, we were required to explore the variety of functions and tools that were available in Revit to build our building with as much customized furniture as possible. We were asked to create a BIM Model with these minimum constraints and some degree of flexibility:
• Building has at least 2 floor levels
• The main building structural material can be of any logical structural material
• Height between each finished floor level is at least 4000mm.
• Floor plan area comprises of:
- At least an area comprising of basic 5 rectangular modules @: 10000 x 10000mm dimension grids.
• At least one void at level 2 in any shape we want
• At least one stair case in any configuration you want (e.g. straight, dog legged, spiral, etc.)
Therefore, the main objective of this project is to expand our ability to independently explore the possibilities of a BIM model that could be created.
TP AVIATION SCHOOL
Integrated Studio Project 3
In the subject of InSP3, students are requested to improve some of the interior spaces of the aviation school, regarding the following aspects:
1- The Aviation students' learning experience: During "Site Analysis", students should study how the recent technology can improve the teaching and learning experience.
2- The character and ambience of the spaces and relate them to the aviation spirit.
3- The connectivity across the different parts of the building, with the intent to improve social bounding across the student and staff communities
4- Make relevant and appropriate use of the empty spaces available on site.
For the design and articulation of the spaces, students must have in consideration the following: • relation between classrooms and public areas • relation between indoors and outdoors spaces • entrances, circulation of staff and students • orientation of the building and relevant views

For this project, we are required to design and create sustainable popup stalls that are light weight, easy for storage and transportation. Layout and orientation of the entire market are expected to be arranged and designed according to the site.
